Job Description

About the Role:

This role exists to turn information into understanding — connecting financial, operational, and strategic data so leaders can act with confidence, clarity, and care.

Reporting to the Reporting Lead, you will sit within the Reporting and Insight function, working closely with finance and operational leaders. Your mahi will help surface trends, highlight risks early, and translate complexity into clear, practical insight that supports intergenerational wellbeing.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys asking the right questions, making sense of data, and supporting others to see what matters most.

As Business Analyst, you will focus on analysis, insight, and improvement, not transaction processing. You will:

  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the development of management and governance reporting with clear analytical insight.
  • Build and maintain models, dashboards, and analytical tools that support decision‑making.
  • Partner with leaders across the organisation to understand business needs and translate them into meaningful analysis.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes with scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies, process improvements, and information gaps.
  • Ensure analysis is accurate, well‑documented, and explainable — supporting trust in the numbers.
  • Work closely with the Reporting Lead and Finance team to ensure insight aligns with sound accounting foundations.

Your work will help leaders move beyond “what happened” to understanding why it happened and what comes next.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

You are curious, analytical, and service‑oriented. You enjoy working with data, but more importantly, you enjoy helping others understand it.

You bring:

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
  • The ability to translate complex information into clear, practical insights.
  • Confidence working with both numbers and people.
  • A structured and disciplined approach to analysis and documentation.
  • A collaborative working style grounded in trust and accountability.
  • An interest in contributing to outcomes that extend beyond short‑term results.

You are motivated by purpose as much as performance, and you value clarity, integrity, and continuous learning.

Essential :

  • Relevant qualification in finance, accounting, economics, business, or analytics (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years’ experience in a business analysis, financial analysis, or reporting role.
  • Ability to build and explain models, assumptions, and scenarios.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or investment analysis.
  • Exposure to multi‑entity or complex organisational environments.
  • Experience with dashboards or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI)
