Job Description

As Assistant Accountant, you'll play a critical role in safeguarding our organisation's financial well-being by establishing and maintaining rigorous controls, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of every number.  You'll collaborate in the design and implementation of system improvements across our operations, providing crucial training and mentorship to empower our teams and elevate their skills.

Partnering closely with the CFO and the wider finance team, you'll support the audit process, ensuring compliance and best practice. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll foster a cohesive and high-performing team, motivating and inspiring them to achieve their full potential. By driving organisational visibility through insightful financial information, you'll fuel informed decision-making, empower our communities, and contribute to a brighter future for the next generation.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in book-keeping, compliance and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practice. 
  • Experience working with external auditors. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation. 
  • Account Technician (AT) or higher with relevant minimum 3 years of experience.
